Over almost 85 years, I’ve formulated the following Truths that I recommend others think about:
Truth #1: Nobody knows what they are talking about.
Truth #2: Almost all Hollywood stuff is trash.
Truth #3: If you don’t believe Truth #2, you are guilty of Truth #1.
Hi Mike,
I did spontaneously smile when I read “Life’s Truths.” I don’t think I have heard you say that before . . . so I’m be reading more from time to time. I wonder if you will be able to sustain your self-proclaimed pessimism despite your ingrained sense of humor (!)
I will remain pessimistic, probably to the end, unless Trump is able to really drain the swamp – i.e. get rid of all current Republican and Democrat legislators, who have been there for over 10 years, and the ingrained bureaucracy. So I guess I’ll remain pessimistic to the end. The country has been in decline for a long time. The only issue is the velocity to the bottom – it’l be a little slower with Trump than it would be with Clinton.
Hi Michael,
Where is your Grand Old Party these days to defend the glorious Constitution? This should lead to a healthy crisis to clean-up for a new start. Will cost a fortune, but who cares with a billion in the pocket (not in the bank of course, that is for the always paying middle class)?
Nice to hear from you. I haven’t been a supporter of the “Grand Old Party” for at least 5 years. (Read my 2016 XMAS Message). But I’m worried that Democrats are behaving so irrationally that they will become even more irrelevant and we will have, essentially, a one party system. The Democrats’ politics of division and anger is getting America nowhere. Soon they will pick a leader. Picking someone on the extreme left will certainly lose more seats in Congress, except for LA, NY and Chicago, and that won’t be good for the country in the long run. The Republicans are hoping for Elizabeth Warren/Bernie Sanders wing to win.
